Media Cube and Scoreboard Software for Mehtimäki Ice Hall

Joensuu’s Mehtimäki Ice Hall has undergone a major technological upgrade with the installation of a modern LED media cube and the Areno scoreboard software. The entire project was carried out by Ledimedia Oy, which handled the design, implementation, and commissioning.

A New Media Cube for Hockey Fans

A four-sided LED media cube, based on the latest LED technology, was installed in the ceiling of the ice hall. It can display game scores, player statistics, striking visual effects, and advertisements. The media cube now serves as the main scoreboard of the arena while also providing a flexible platform for versatile content.

Areno – Scoreboard Software for All League Levels

The scoreboard is operated using Areno, a software developed by Ledimedia. It runs conveniently on a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. Areno includes features tailored for different sports and league levels, making it suitable for all ice hockey games — from junior leagues to professional-level competitions.

Pitchside Advertising and LedimediaCloud

As part of the upgrade, LED pitchside boards were also installed around the rink. These can display sponsor advertisements and various visual effects during games. Content management is handled through the LedimediaCloud system, which integrates directly with Areno. This allows both scoreboard and advertising displays to be managed as a unified system.

A Comprehensive Display Solution

The Mehtimäki Ice Hall renovation also utilized Ledimedia’s expertise in display solutions for player locker rooms, ensuring a unified and modern digital communication system throughout the entire arena.
